We were delighted to welcome our local MP, Ian Lavery, into school on Friday to catch up with staff and pupils.
Mr Lavery enjoyed his tour of our school and chatting to our pupils about his role as an MP. Our children had some excellent questions for him and were very interested in a possible visit to the Houses of Parliament.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to share their learning and school environment. Ian was greatly impressed and we look forward to welcoming him back to Meadowdale Academy in the future.
